With Senators in power showing loud hate for SOGIE Equality Bill, LAGABLAB NETWORK, the largest coalition of LGBT organizations in the Philippines, decided to talk to the lawmakers differently this time, not with the usual attack, aggression and antagonism: we sent love to the enemies of the bill. In 24 hours, the campaign trended on social media; With over 300 million impressions and over 50 publication features. Days after the launch, the SOGIE Equality Bill was suddenly put in the Senate agenda. And for the first time ever in its 19-year history, the bill got its first Senate reading, getting a lot of love from the Senators.
